NHCD Tips:

I was reading some tips in cold calling:

1. Recognize that each "No" gets you closer to "yes." The losing streak won't go on forever.

2. Build rewards into your day. When you reach a milestone-say 25 calls -- give yourself a short break or a treat.

3. Create a survival routine. Some calls are just so bad that even just one can sink your morale. A set plan can help you move beyond it. Get a candy bar, get some fresh air, just be sure to get back on the phone within 15 minutes.

4. View each call as your first. Even if its 3pm., assume the one coming up is your first. Erase negative thoughts and focus on sounding as fresh and energetic as you were at 8am.

5. Reframe the next call. Discover what works for you.



6. Picture your competition. Don't wait another second -- your competitor has his eye on this prospect too. Don't let him dial that number faster than you!!

8. Focus on success. Sure, you've faced rejection. But you will get leads and good ones at that. Think about when you do get leads it will confirm your confidence.

9. Post how many leads you have and beat that goal each day!

10. Stop waiting to enjoy it. Dont kid yourself -- you may NEVER like cold calling but your competitors hate it too. Thanks to these tips you will and can be better at cold calling than they are :) There are people out there that do like cold calling.
